A Scriptural Study of Marriage

If you are like me, you want to know what the Lord expects of you in your marital relationship. This is meant to help you figure that out for yourself.

Laws: the principles and regulations established in a community by some authority and applicable to its people

Rites: the formal or ceremonial acts or procedures prescribed or customary in religious or other solemn use

Ordinances: established rites or ceremonies, a sacrament

This list of scriptures isn’t meant as an ending place on the study of the marriage covenant, and I of myself have no authority to say what is so or what is not regarding God’s order of marriage, so consider this list a starting point, not a definitive list, and my sole opinion about whether what is contained in the scriptures could be considered a law, a rite or an ordinance pertaining to marriage.
